Barry Shevlin
Barry Shevlin, a seasoned entrepreneur, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of FlyUSA, a private jet charter and aircraft management company. Barry co-founded FlyUSA with President William Holtz in 2020 and is excited to take a more active role in the rapidly growing company.
Previously, Barry was the CEO of Vology, an IT services company he founded in Palm Harbor, Florida in 2002. Under his leadership, Vology grew from a startup with $1 million in revenue to an industry leader with annual revenues of $175 million. He exited Vology after its sale to a private equity group in November 2019.
Barry’s accomplishments at Vology include:
- Ranking on the Inc. 500/5000 lists for 11 consecutive years
- Being voted one of the Best Places to Work in Tampa for six consecutive years
- Being a finalist for the E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2014
Throughout his career, Barry has completed over $500 million in capital market transactions and holds Series 63 and 79 licenses from FINRA. An active member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) since 2007, Barry brings a wealth of experience and visionary leadership to FlyUSA.
William Holtz
William Holtz, President of FlyUSA, co-founded the company in 2020 and played a pivotal role in its initial success and subsequent growth. Leading the Tech Ops, Flight Support, and Clearwater Airpark, William directs various aspects of FlyUSA’s operations.
In 2023, William spearheaded the Airport Management transition when FlyUSA assumed control of the Clearwater Airpark, leading to significant improvements in safety, training, and overall team cohesion. Prior to FlyUSA, William earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Management from American Military University.
His journey to FlyUSA was preceded by a distinguished career in the US Coast Guard, where he honed his leadership skills leading search and rescue and enforcement operations. Throughout his tenure, William demonstrated an unwavering commitment to excellence and safety.
John Hodges
John Hodges, FlyUSA’s COO and Director of Operations, boasts over 30 years of aviation expertise and a total flight time exceeding 17,700 hours. With a background in FAR Part 135 management and extensive leadership experience, John is adept at overseeing all levels of operational intricacies.
His comprehensive knowledge spans executive leadership, large program execution, and fostering strong relationships with regulatory bodies like the Federal Aviation Administration. John’s dedication to excellence ensures FlyUSA’s operations adhere to the highest standards of safety and efficiency, driving the company’s success in the private aviation industry.
Steve Wells
Steve Wells, serving as Chief Pilot at FlyUSA, brings over 40 years of aviation expertise to the team. Prior to joining FlyUSA, Steve held the position of Chief Pilot for A2V (dba Tower Aviation) in Austin, Texas.
With a total flight time exceeding 9200 hours and type ratings in various aircraft, including B737 and Lear Jets, Steve oversees pilot management at FlyUSA.
A graduate of Embry Riddle with an Aeronautical Science degree and Aviation Safety Certificate from USC, Steve excels in Safety Management Systems (SMS) implementation, ensuring the highest standards of safety in all flight operations.

Jill Job, our Director of Charter Sales, brings a dynamic blend of sales expertise from her tenure at The Hershey Company and Tesla to FlyUSA. Since joining in 2020, Jill has been instrumental in driving our charter sales team to unparalleled success.
With an unwavering commitment to our end user experience, she ensures our clientele receive nothing short of exceptional service.
As a prior top 20 sales achiever at Tesla, Jill sets a high standard, inspiring FlyUSA’s dedication to deliver unparalleled private aviation experiences.
Nick Barrows
Introducing Nick Barrows, President of Management and Acquisitions at FlyUSA, a seasoned expert in the private aviation industry. Before joining FlyUSA, Nick founded 3B Aviation, a Tampa-based management company that grew to oversee 13 aircraft, offering turnkey services to discerning owners.
With over 10,000 hours of flight experience and a myriad of certifications, including ATP and various type ratings, Nick’s piloting expertise is unparalleled. At FlyUSA, Nick spearheads the seamless operation of Part 91 aircraft, ensuring owners experience the utmost pleasure in aircraft ownership.
Additionally, he leverages his extensive network to expand FlyUSA’s fleet, advocating the joys and simplicity of private aircraft ownership. Since the merger with FlyUSA in April 2023, Nick’s dedication to building authentic client and employee relationships has been instrumental in the company’s success.
Steve Nickel
Meet Steve Nickel, our Chief Financial Officer at FlyUSA, bringing a wealth of financial analysis expertise to our team. Prior to joining FlyUSA in October 2023, Steve held pivotal roles at HCI Group, Inc. in Tampa, FL, and Equinix, Inc. in Redwood City, CA.
With a BBA and MBA from Temple University, Steve’s academic background complements his hands-on experience in finance. At FlyUSA, Steve oversees all aspects of accounting, treasury, and finance, leveraging his skills in forecasting, planning, and analysis to drive strategic decision-making.
With a career marked by excellence, Steve is a key asset in ensuring FlyUSA’s financial stability and growth.
Brandon Stiltner
As the Director of Maintenance at FlyUSA, Brandon Stiltner elevates our commitment to unparalleled aviation experiences. With an unblemished record in aircraft safety and quality, he embodies the very essence of our brand’s promise for reliability and excellence.
Specializing in aircraft maintenance management and regulatory compliance, Brandon’s key role involves steering our in-house maintenance facility to new heights and ensuring seamless compliance for our managed aircraft and 135-operated fleet. A seasoned professional, he acquired his expertise at Columbus State Community College and is credentialed as both an Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic and a Multi-Engine Private Pilot.
Brandon oversees maintenance operations, ensuring every aircraft meets our stringent standards for safety and performance.
Ryan Parker
Ryan Parker, Director of Safety & Flight Operations at FlyUSA, brings over 20 years of invaluable experience in military aviation and safety oversight within the Department of Transportation (DOT) industry. Responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency, Ryan holds a critical leadership position at FlyUSA.
With a Degree in Aviation Maintenance Management from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and an FAA A&P certification, Ryan’s unwavering dedication to excellence and meticulous attention to detail set the standard for safety within our organization.

Michael A. Scola
Michael, our Chief of Staff, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Florida State University and a Master’s in Taxation. He is also an active Florida CPA. In his role, Michael addresses gaps across business lines, streamlines operations, and ensures effective coordination between departments.
Additionally, he supports aircraft acquisitions, leveraging his financial expertise and leadership skills to tackle complex challenges and drive results for organizational growth and efficiency.
Brian Galvan
Brian Galvan is a Martech driven executive with over 15 years of experience in crafting digital and offline strategies for the private aviation sector and beyond. A veteran of the U.S. military, where he served as a Microwave/SatComm technician, Brian also holds a degree in computer science.
Combining cutting-edge marketing techniques with deep industry knowledge, Brian has web agency and devops background that has equipped him with a diverse skill set. His innovative approaches have driven exponential organic growth and high-value lead generation across various industries, not just in aviation.
An expert in SEO/SEM, multi-channel digital campaigns, and custom analytics, Brian has a proven track record of success in lead generation for private aviation, including air charter, management, and aircraft sales.
