FlyUSA Takes Action: Delivering Hurricane Relief to North Carolina

When Hurricane Helene tore through the Southeast, it left entire communities in North Carolina without power, roads, or basic supplies. FlyUSA chose to help in the way we know best, by flying relief where it was needed most

On October 7, instead of operating an empty leg flight, FlyUSA filled the aircraft with over $1,200 worth of food, water, and essential supplies gathered by the FlyUSA team. These items were then delivered to residents still recovering from the storm’s impact

“We are grateful to be part of this effort and remain committed to supporting those impacted by natural disasters. Our thoughts are with the families and communities affected by Hurricane Helene,” said Barry Shevlin, CEO of FlyUSA.

Hurricane Helene made landfall as a Category 4 storm on September 26 and became the deadliest mainland hurricane since Katrina, claiming more than 200 lives and devastating parts of Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, and Tennessee

In times of crisis, aviation becomes more than transportation. It becomes a way to show up for others. FlyUSA is proud to support relief efforts and will continue to stand with the communities we serve.
