Finding the Right Plane For You

The first step in buying a plane is figuring out the right plane for your specific travel needs. Questions that need to be answered include, but are not limited to:

  • Where will your plane be based?
  • How many hours per month do you plan on flying?
  • How many passengers will typically be with you?
  • Where will you typically be flying to?
  • Do you have a budget in mind?

Once we’ve answered these questions, we’ll discuss options and work with you to narrow the list down to 1 or 2 aircraft types.

Market Analysis

Our next step will be to perform a detailed market analysis and review specific aircraft that meet your requirements. While we will review planes that are for sale online, most of our success comes from direct outreach to owners of planes that our data suggest will be coming to market soon.

Note: With the demand for planes at an unprecedented level, it is estimated that 75% of all transactions in the last 18 months have been “off-market” transactions, meaning the planes were sold before they were ever listed online.

Assist in the negotiation and preparation of an offer or Letter of Intent to Acquire.

Onsite Review and Pre-Buy Inspection

Once an offer is accepted, we will coordinate and conduct onsite review of aircraft and all airframe and engine logbooks. This review will be the basis of us working with you to create estimates for planned maintenance schedule for the next 3 years. These estimates are critical for you to project your cost of ownership.

If everything is in order, we would then schedule a full pre-buy inspection of the aircraft, utilizing a
team that is familiar with the specific aircraft type.

Closing the Transaction

After negotiating any items that we want addressed as a result of the prebuy, we will then work with your aviation tax and legal advisors to prepare closing documents
